Governor Beebe and the Legislature’s 2009 incremental assaults on Western Civilization and Americana, count the ways, accompanied by Senator Elliott’s return for the 3rd time to the illegal alien (in-state tuition) education trough.                                                       April 5, 2009

Specifically, here are a few of the egregious attacks directed at Arkansas voters demonstrating the chokehold state government is administering which destroys our freedoms and levies oppressive taxation.

1.       Proposed destruction of the Electoral College

2.       Refusal to make known to the Feds that we demand enforcement of the 9th & 10th Amendments

3.       “Enhanced” driver’s Licenses which provide personal information globally.  Canada & Mexico already have received said information.

4.       Massive efforts to hamstring the homeschooling network--a statist and teacher union strategy

5.       Massive expansion of Arkids 1st & related Affirmative Action programs.

6.       Failure to address the illegal immigration crisis—born out of fear and orchestrated by the Arkansas Friendship Coalition, i.e. Tyson’s, Walton’s, Stephens, ACLU, LULAC, etc.

7.       The Governor’s refusal to order Greg Crow and his agents to identify contractors employing Hispanics and subsequently turn them over to ICE and/or other appropriate agencies for the purpose of identifying.  Racial profiling? Absolutely, 50%+ of Hispanics in this state are illegal aliens and should be deported.

8.       Beebe’s announcement that he wants to give a $50,000 per year increase to Jim Purcell, a shill for the university systems. A raise of this magnitude is indeed sobering when the majority of Arkansans don’t make $40,000 per year and losing employment by the thousands. The audacity and arrogance!  Why guaranteed economic protection for government employees and no protection whatsoever for those of us subsidize the government cabals?  Of course the question will never be answered truthfully.

9.       So-called Education lobby, NEA & AEA, and a host of legislators/government employees maneuvering for $millions more to be dumped into the public school black hole, e.g. the Senate passing a Bill (35-0) aimed at helping retired school employees with rising healthcare costs. To curry favor of and from teacher unions and other related types, legislators treat this bunch as if they were an endangered species.

10.    TAXES—Fayetteville Shale Play, Tobacco, attempt to tax milk, new millions into the State Police Retirement Fund.

Citizens, anyone foolish enough to believe that the individuals we elect are actually securing our Constitutional interests has surely morphed into senility.  We have only ourselves to blame for the outrageous conduct of the 2009 General Assembly, conducted by Mike Beebe.  Beebe is the titular head of the most powerfully corrupt political machine in the history of our state, if for no other reason than the magnitude of the players.

It appears that Rep. Steve Harrelson has been anointed as the Democrat Party’s chief Flack, which means he’s headed for more and better things inside the Party. In other words, he’s Beebe’s “guy” in the House. Example, Harrelson spoke against the 10th Amendment, and get this, “it was a partisan maneuver that could hurt the states’ relations with Congress”.  In a previous statement he spoke of his relationship with U.S. Rep. Mike Ross and did not want anything to hinder that relationship.  Harrelson goes on to say “the people of Arkansas are better served when governments work together”.  Precisely the opposite.  When governments get cozy the people get screwed and is simply what is happening today at all levels. The federal government is limited in its Constitutional authority over states and the federal government, as with all governments, derives all their financing from the producers by force. We have seen recently, in spades, that much of the federal establishment is made up of outright criminals. By the way Harrelson, do you believe your philosophy of government is superior to the Founders?  It certainly appears you do.

The Arkansas state government is nothing more than a self-serving, sanctimonious fiefdom.  Question one of our “public servants” and note the response, that is if you can catch one.

Last but not least, Senator Elliott and her 3rd trip to the trough for illegal aliens.  Senators Elliott and Sue Madison commanded G. David Gearhart, Chancellor of the Univ. of Arkansas System, to appear at a 3PM hearing, 3/23/09 to testify on behalf of Elliott’s illegal alien Bill.

Governor, do you and the legislators voting for this corrupt Bill find it curious that the Chancellor of our Flagship University testified for criminals (those hiring & those employed) and directly against U.S. and State law?  His testimony in no way can be construed as University business.

Again, I call for his immediate resignation.

Chancellor Gearhart received an FOIA on March 28 which among other items, his method of travel to Elliott’s hearing.  The flight log shows Gearhart to be a prolific traveler at taxpayer expense.  That day alone he traveled from Fayetteville, to Jonesboro, then to Monticello, then Little Rock, and back to Fayetteville.  On board were 2 pilots (Hill & Pepples) and 3 passengers (Gearhart, & 2 administrators D. Pederson & M. Johnson), the alleged purpose of this days travel was for “meetings”.  Aside from his illegal meeting with Elliott & her crowd, I want to see the justification for the huge expenses entailed in this day’s travel in a King Air.  For example, could the other 2 stops been accomplished by teleconference?

When there is no detailed oversight on politicians, bureaucrats and other government types, big mischief and expenses are sure to follow.

For all the crocodile tears shed on behalf of illegals and the huge numbers of Arkansans enjoying welfare benefits, some for generations, for what it’s worth, the American middleclass is now the “homeless class”.  As a disclaimer, there are some 3-5% of American citizens who can in no way defend themselves; therefore we shower them with whatever they need.  The generational type welfare artists must be given the boot now.  What has evolved is a symbiotic relationship between governments and so-called “minorities” and the fabric of our society, i.e. the middleclass, is in reality the one getting the boot.

Kindest regards,

Joe McCutchen
